Volpino
The Volpino dog is originally from Italy and resembles the German Spitz and the Japanese Spitz, it is a rare breed that makes a really good little watchdog.
These small dogs are very clever and are therefore easy to house train and teach tricks to, they are also very loyal and affectionate towards their owners.

Special Characteristics
These small dogs are alert, reactive and rather lively. You would also describe this breed of dog as being bold, curious, confident and affectionate.
Exercise Requirements
These small dogs are classed as having medium exercise requirements. This means that the dog will require at least two good walks each day to stay happy and content.

What to Watch Out For
Their long bushy coat could well bring in mud and dirt from outside into your home and will definitely require daily grooming to prevent mats and tangles from forming. Also, might bark excessively unless well trained.

The perfect owner of the Volpino would need to be experienced with dogs and be an active person with plenty of time available for the dogs daily grooming and exercise requirements.
