Bolognese
The Bolognese is much like the Bichon Frise but much more determined. These dogs are shy with strangers and form strong bonds with their owners.
These small dogs are loving and faithful towards their family and can be docile at times. The Bolognese can be particularly hard to house train.

Size: 25.5 – 30.5 cm (10 – 12 in)
Weight: 3 – 4 kg (6.5 – 9 lb)
Coat: Long, flocked without curl covering whole head and body
Colour: White. Lips, eyelids, nose and nails are black
Lifespan: 14 years
Special Characteristics
The Bolognese loves company and is described as a quiet, pleasant tender little dog.
Exercise Requirements
These dogs prefer free exercise. Their exercise requirements are classed as low. Will be active around the house, one short walk a day will be enough to keep this breed happy.
Attitude Towards:
Owners: Will be devoted and very affectionate towards their owner.
Children: Usually good around children, but not always.
Other Pets: Good around other pets including cats.
Strangers: Reserved around strangers, will be shy towards them.
Other Unfamiliar Dogs: Can be friendly with other unknown dogs if they have been well socialised with them from an early age.
What to Watch Out For
Because these lovely little dogs love to be around people, most of all their owner, they can suffer from separation problems. These dogs can also be rather hard to house train.

Very little to mention here; Luxating patellar and some eye conditions.
Ideal Owner
The perfect owner for the Bolognese would be someone that is gentle and affectionate that is probably living alone in a quiet household.
If you are out at work all day and intend to leave the dog alone for long periods then this is definitely not the dog for you. These dogs love to be around people all the time and do not do well being left alone for long periods.
